Because of scheuleing conflicts the Scot vs Irish game will be on Saturday and the Highland Competition will be on Sunday.
On both days we will run the same events:
- Braemar stone
- Open Stone
- Heavy weight for distance
- Light weight for distance
- Caber
- Sheaf
- Weight for height
The World Famous champion Trinity Dancers from Chicago will perform one time only!
Trinity Irish Dance, made up of dancers between the ages of 14 and 25, has performed to great critical and popular acclaim on stages throughout the world, with sold-out tours in Europe and Asia and appearances in such distinguished U.S. venues as Washington's Kennedy Center, New York's Joyce and New Victory Theatres, and Los Angeles's Royce Hall.
Erin Feis Magnet for August 27, 28, & 29 2010
Having trouble remembering the dates for the 30th annual Erin Feis? Erin Feis will be August 27, 28, & 29 2010. Would you like to have the date on a handy refridgerator magnet? Just CONTACT US through this website. In the contact form comments section, state that you would like a magnet, and leave your name and mailing address so we can mail you one. It's that simple, but only one magnet per household, please.
Jameson Lounge
Enjoy a relaxing atmosphere and select marks of Jameson Irish Whiskey at Erin Feis. Experience an authentic Irish whiskey tasting led by an official Jameson Irish Whiskey Ambassador. You will get six, half ounce shots, of Jameson, Jameson 18, Powers, Red Breast, Paddy's and Midleton. Tasting will be on Friday and Saturday evening at 6:30 PM and at 7:30 PM. Seating is limited, and the cost will be $15 per person. Reservations can be made by mailing your check to Erin Feis, PO Box 117, Peoria, IL 61650 or on the grounds at the SNUG tent.
Highland Games
Ancient Athletics from Springfield will be holding official Highland Game competition on Saturday. Over 30 participants are expected and they will be competing to gain points to participate in world competition in Scotland. Several International Champions will be present.

Irish VS Scot
After going to their respective religious services on Sunday the games will begin. Six games of skill, pitting the best (or what we can get) Irishmen against some oversize Scot's for the "Flag of Victory". We are currently negotiation the rules but we are looking for some strong Irishmen to compete for the Glory of Ireland. Drop us a line if you are interested.
Kilt Day
Returning to the "days of old" and in the spirit of a good time, Sunday will be Kilt Day. Any person wearing a Kilt will get in FREE. Various volunteer in O'Neill's Pub and at other locations. If you do not have one - contact the Harp & Thistle Irish Imports in Peoria Heights to get the right plaid for your clan.
T-Shirt Contest
Do you have a closet or drawer stuffed full of old Erin Feis T-shirts from years past? If so, it could pay off for you! Wear (or bring) your oldest Erin Feis T-shirt to the St. Patrick Society booth in the Cultural Village at Erin Feis on any day of the fest to register. Hours of registration are Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Saturday from Noon - 8:00 PM, and Sunday from Noon - 4:00 PM. If your shirt is the oldest at the fest on the day you register you will win a free 2010 30th Anniversary Erin Feis T-shirt. A new winner will be chosen each day. One entry per person, please.
